The TexasET application provides an estimation of crop water requirements based on the selected growth stage. It leverages real-time weather data sourced from stations within the TexasET Network (texasET.tamu.edu) to generate accurate assessments. The calculations can be tailored for a single day or extended up to 14 days, offering flexibility for planning purposes. Rainfall data from the chosen weather station is automatically incorporated into the calculations; however, users have the option to adjust this data to reflect local precipitation, enabling more precise management. Additionally, the app allows users to set weekly reminders for irrigation recommendations, supporting easier scheduling and adherence to water management practices.
